Turning Point (Removed)

Five geometric elements stand tall with curved surfaces and angular edges. Some elements are pierced by rectangular portals. Surfaces are a flat putty color. These original five pieces were joined by four other sculpture in 2001 to make up the Turning Point Garden. However, this titular piece was removed to make room for the Tinkham Veale University Center, opened in 2014.

Turning Point was Phillip Johnson's first foray into pure sculpture. He was 90 years old when the piece was dedicated in 2001.
