Camp Chase Memorial

A Confederate soldier stand at the apex of a stone arch with his hands resting on the end of the barrel of a rifle, the butt of which rests on the plinth. A large stone carved with "2260 Confederate soldiers of the war 1861- 1865 buried in this enclosure" on its face rests underneath the arch. The piece was vandalized and removed in 2017 as a response to the Charlottesville riots.

Camp Chase was a cemetery founded as an olive branch between the confederate and union veterans at the time.
